Youth at RRPC participate in a number of mission activities.
Every July, HS youth and college students divide into teams of 5 youth and 2 adults, load into vans and trek out to West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, or parts of Virginia to spend a week living in community and working to improve the living conditions of Appalachia's poor. Always a transformative week, this trip is rooted in the scriptural mandate to care for our neighbors. Click here for information on ASP for 2016.  Go to for even more information.  Get Involved!

As a part of the national movement, RRPC Youth comes together to collect money and food offerings on Super Bowl Sunday. The Saturday before the Super Bowl, youth gather in the kitchen to decorate Super Bowl Themed cakes, which are auctioned off on Super Bowl Sunday morning. All funds raised go to the LAMB's Basket food bank as part of SOUPer Bowl of Caring.

MS vs. HS Can Hunt

At this annual event usually held in November, the middle and high school groups compete to see who can collect the most cans to help feed the hungry. This is a fun way to live into Christ's vision for a church that cares for the poor. We go all over Richmond's West End visiting church members' houses to collect cans, then meet back at the church for a lesson and the declaration of a winner.  In 2013, the canned food challenge between Middle School Youth and High School Youth yielded 580 pounds of food for LAMB's Basket.
